SITE SUMMARY

This ATM Monitoring module includes Site Summary, ATM Status check and ATM Status Upload sub modules. The Site Summary displays the entire connected ATMs list with detail (Location, Profile, Last EJ Send Date, ATM Status, Agent Status and Link Status) and also its displays New Site Registration requests and Old Agent Lists (old version Agents)

ONLINE ACCESS TO AGENT (FILE EXPLORE)

TranXit allows you to explore all the Folders/Files from Agent end and also user can upload the files. The upload can be multiple files at a time.

TranXit Agent will send the Cash level in ATMs as per EJ for every specified interval.

EJ MANAGEMENT

EJ_process

The electronic journal files that are retrieved from the ATM machines are available in the TranXit EJ Server. These files are copied to the appropriate bank SFTP server. The files that are retrieved today may include older EJ files too.

EJ Organizer

The customer copies the EJ files from the SFTP server to the EJ Organizer landing folder. The Thinkprise EJ Organizer is then executed which segregates the EJ files based on the EJ Date. Thus older EJ files are moved into appropriate date folder that would act as a base folder for EJ Viewer.

EJ DECRYPTER

The EJ retrieved through TranXit is encrypted by default. The EJ Decryptor can be used to decrypt the EJ files and can be viewed using browser or text manipulation tools such as notepad. EJ Decryptor is made to the Bank and the Recon team on demand.

EJ VIEWER

EJ Viewer is a web based application that is used to view the contents of the EJ file that is encrypted. Thus the contents of the EJ file can be viewed without storing the decrypted copy of the file in the local machine. Multiple users can simultaneously view the EJ files by feeding the ATMID and EJ Date.

EJ Notifier

TranXit Controller has a built in features to send the EJ status to the list of the recipients. Through this email service, the TranXit controller is configured to send the EJ count/screen download activity status automatically for the configured interval. The email alert would be in the below format.

Agent Dropout Manager

TranXit Agent after installation might get disconnected/dropped out due to the following reasons.

  • Software/Hardware problem in ATM machine and OS reloaded
  • Virus in the ATM which blocks the TranXit Startup service
  • Windows firewall enabled at the ATM (without adding firewall exception for TranXit Agent)
  • Network issue
In these cases, the engineer is required to visit the ATM to fix the issue. Tranxit team members would monitor the EJ status of the ATMs every day and would notify the drop to the team soon after it is identified.

TranXit team would send the list of ATMs where the EJ is NOT retrieved. The status of those ATMs in the Switch would be expected. Below are the scenarios that would arise.

Auto Incident Creation

Once the dropout is identified, the TranXit team logs the disconnected ATM in the “TranXit Dropout Manager”, thus creating an incident. An automatic notification email is triggered to the list of configured email IDs. This email contains the details such as ATMID, Location, City, State. The helpdesk reverts with the Ticket ID which ensures that the incident would be attended by the site engineer.
TranXit team upon getting the call from the field engineer closes the incident. The dropout manager generates the docket number when the incident is closed. Thus the incident is tracked from the identification through follow up till the docket number is issued to the engineer.

CUSTOMER EJ STATUS

TranXit team publishes the metrics to the customers on a daily basis. The team uses a pre-designed, formula based spread sheets. The EJ data is fed in to the system using which the tables/graph/chart is generated. The team upon confirming the count publishes the table/chart to the customers. The table/charts are customized based on the customer requirements. Below would be the sample table.

DROPOUT SUMMARY

Dropout summary is sent every day to the internal team that manages the field team. The Agent disconnected list is sent bank wise. The detail includes ATMID, Location, City, State, Last EJ Retrieved.

Triple Des Encryption

Tranxit Agent encrypts the data before it is placed in the network layer to be sent to the controller. Triple Data Encryption Standard algorithm is used to encrypt the data. It is also known as Triple DES or 3DES. Triple DES algorithm is being used for data transfer in electronic payment industry.

Data Compression

The data before being transmitted is compressed with proven zipping algorithms. The CRC is calculated and CRC bits are sent along with the data in the packet that is sent to and from controller. The receiver upon receiving the data recalculates the CRC and is matched against the CRC sent by the sender. Any mismatch in the CRC indicates that the data has been tampered in the network. The packet is requested again from the sender if the CRC does not match. Thus the data packet remains tamper proof.

User Roles

User roles are customizable in Tranxit web application. With this, any number of user roles of desired specification could be created. The user accounts when created are mapped to user roles. Thus the user gets all the privileges that the user role is assigned to.
For eg., user roles could be created with access to download and install packages and is assigned to appropriate user accounts. These users would ONLY be able to create, download and install packages.

Password Policy

The minimum and maximum length of the user name and password could be altered according to the need. The system enforces the user to set the password that has at least a character, a number and a symbol for more security. The user with the administrator role could set the password expiry duration while creating the user. User is notified of the password expiration upon successful logon. When the password is reset for existing user or a new user account is created, the password is sent via email.
